I have a 3 year old female and was told she is a Canadian Eskimo/Husky/Malamute cross. I am very interested in the breed. I would love to know if there is anyway of finding out if she really is Canadian Eskimo. She just had a litter of 5 pups.

I HAVE A BEAUTIFUL INUIT AND WE LOVE HIM SO .WE ALSO HAVE A BOXER PIT BULL CROSS AND THY LOVE EACH OTHER SO. BEFORE THEY GO TO BED AT NIGHT THEY CHECK EACH OTHER OUT FROM HEAD TO TOE. THE SAD PART IS HE IS 14 YRS OLD AND NOT MUCH LONGER TO GO . HE RUNS A GOOD HALF MILE 4 TIMES A DAY ALTHOUGH HE IN OUR MIND SHOULD BE WALKING BUT HE WANTS TO RUN. WHEN HE IS TOO TIRED HE LETS US KNOW .HE WILL GO TO THE END OF THE DRIVE WAY AND TURN AROUND BACK TO THE DOOR.HE KNOWS HE IS LOVED.HIS NAME IS BIG RED AND WE WAS A RESCUE DOG FROM CHURCHILL MANITOBA WE ARE SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE HAD HIM IN OUR LIVES.HE WORKED HARD AS A TOUR DOG IN CANMORE THEN CAME TO US.I THANK THE UNIVERSE FOR BRINGING HIM TO US.

Better to tell the truth, it may be brutal, but it’s part of the history. My dogs came from the Carpenter line. It’s great to stop extinction, but keeping them in England, for example and “showing” them, won’t preserve the breed. Normal Inuit Dogs can’t pass each other as a team without a fight. Respectfully but critically, Tim.

He speaks of how the canadian officials trying to shut his operation down and how many dogs he has lost to polar bears. All to make a buck . In my opinion the body language of the dogs is that they are uncomfortable and nervous. What a sad situation. Chuck m.

by William J. Carpenter
Wonderful article. Thanks.
My son is getting a Canadian Eskimo Puppy, yes it’s a mix.
I wanted to learn more about this breed and came across this article.
I read to page 4…tried to turn the page…nothing.
I couldn’t see/read the end of the article. ( page 5 is missing)
I may be doing something wrong..?
Kind Regards,
Lori

Hello,
I am sorry but I have no idea where you can go sledding… we currently live in Italy. If you want some help in England you can contact Racheal Bailey who is very active with CEDS, she lives in Leicester, but I am sure she can give you very valuable information.
